Northampton-based Web Alliance is a bespoke software development company helping growing SMEs across the UK replace spreadsheets, manual processes and disconnected systems with custom-built CRM, ERP, mobile application and workflow automation software.
Founded in 2012 by husband-and-wife team Ashish Kumar and Iram Gilani, the business was created to make enterprise-grade software accessible, affordable and practical for smaller businesses. Today, Web Alliance supports manufacturers, engineering firms, field service providers, franchisors, specialist testing companies, charities and family-run businesses that need technology designed around the way they actually work.
Growth from West Northants
Since launching from a home-based start-up, Web Alliance has grown into a 33-strong business, with a UK consultancy and account management team based in Northampton and a full-time in-house development team in India.
The company has grown organically and remained investor-free, building long-standing client relationships based on trust, quality and service. Turnover has increased steadily, with a forecasted turnover of £650,000 in 2026–27.
More than 60% of turnover now comes from existing clients, reflecting the value businesses continue to gain from their systems after launch. Web Alliance also has a 4.9-star average client rating and around 95% client retention.
Innovation and future growth
Web Alliance’s future growth plans are focused on sustainable expansion and helping more SMEs access the right technology without unnecessary cost, complexity or risk.
As more businesses look to automate, integrate systems and use data more effectively, Web Alliance believes bespoke software will become increasingly important for SMEs. The future of the industry will not simply be about adopting technology for its own sake, but about creating joined-up systems that solve real operational problems and give businesses the confidence to grow.
Why West Northants?
For Web Alliance, West Northants has provided the ideal environment in which to build and scale a technology business. Its location offers strong connectivity to clients across the UK, while the area’s business community has given the company access to networks, support and opportunities for collaboration.
Web Alliance is active in the local business community and this strong local network has helped the business build relationships, raise its profile and remain connected to the wider SME community it serves.
The company’s base at Moulton Park Industrial Estate also gives it a practical and accessible location from which to support clients locally, regionally and nationally. For a business built on relationships, trust and long-term partnerships, West Northants has offered both the infrastructure and the community needed to grow.
